What are "Royalty-Free" photos? Each stock photo in the Photos To Go Unlimited collection is offered as a Royalty-Free Photo. When you license an individual Royalty-Free photo, you pay a one-time fee for the image. You can then use the image for different projects for an unlimited time period. You cannot resell a royalty free photo, but you can include a royalty free stock photo as part of a product like the cover of a CD, graphics in software, etc. On Photos To Go Unlimited, you pay one subscription fee for the right to use any of the photos on a Royalty Free basis The majority of the over 1,000,000 stock photos in our larger image library at www.indexstock.com are “Rights Managed.” This means that you license the right to use the stock photo for a specific use for a defined time period. Again this restriction does not apply when you purchase a Photos To Go Unlimited subscription. Why are some stock photos Royalty Free photos and others are not? Artists decide whether their photos or illustrations will be offered as Royalty Free. Once an artist has decided on the type of license to offer, Index Stock prices the licenses for the photo or illustration accordingly. At Photos To Go Unlimited, all available photos are Royalty Free. The Index Stock library includes all the images in Photos To Go Unlimited, plus additional Royalty Free and Rights Managed images. The important thing for you is to find the right stock photo license that meets your needs.
